Not sure if this the place to do it, but I'm doing the intro homework of greetin' you peeps. I'm not really a beginner, but I definitely need the refresher.
I first touched Unity back in 2011-2013, took a couple year hiatus after a heartbreak, then lost all my game development work in a hard drive catastrophe (main files🤦🏾♂️ and the back ups😭). Been crushed over it for a while, but this quarantine was inspired me to get back on the horse. 😤
I have a Bachelor's in Computer Science and have done a good bit of C# programming in Unity, so I'm familiar with the API and syntax. I'm happy to lend a hand to anyone with a cool scripted mechanic they want to implement. Gimme some extra credit to dabble in! 😎👍🏾
Word of wisdom (and also advise to myself): The biggest mistake I made in my first venture into game dev was trying to be the every man for ideas bigger than my own means. Community and collaboration are important. Having fellow devs or teammates to keep you focused and driven when things get rough are key to overcoming hard setbacks. I'm hoping to actually be an active participant in this learning community this time around. Let's make great games together!
