Hey Man. This one is all wrapped up and going too be submitted as soon as I can get the little one down, if we can get a few units moved we have a plan to sell a bunch of $5 packs of 3-4 models made with this as a way to entice people to buy the main pack, and research has started on Massive Modular Bridges + Massive Modular Bases. Weak point on my side is gonna be the social media aspect, just because i hate social media lol and unfortunately our darling little islands are a complete wrong time zone to the US and East. If you fancy a gander at maybe helping with that (negotiate a cut etc) drop me a connect :-)

Anyone have any tips on marketing an asset? doing the social media thing, and getting a fair few views, but still feel like i shouting into sound vacuum lol

So, as a "dev dad" i find that anything that can help cut some time down on making something is an absolute god send. The problem i have had had with most kits is that modular does tend to mean several versions of the same this.

So i sat down with the lad last summer to start work on something that would allow us to make unique buildings quickly, and with out too much hassle. Well 7 months later, i am submitting to unity today a package that i think will help anyone who wants to save a little time and money; a massive modular set, 1000 approx pieces. All click together on a 0.05 grid, all are based on the same 5x4 base, so everything fits. Everything can be re-textured in an instant with.

With the correct touching up (instancing, occlusion, and probuilderize-merge-export where appropriate) draw calls are nice and low and baking is fast. We have even included really low lod versions to make buildings with multiple levels of LOD crazy quickly

We have been playing away with it, and everything from west Yorkshire houses to New York offices, Lancashire warehouses to Martian barracks can be made. Made with ease and speed normally akin to a level creator or settlement building part of a game itself.

with regards to how its done, i have included instructions in the pack, but essentually, - select the items you want to merge, hit -probuilderize-> merge objects->export (i do it as a prefab) and you have your new optimised object.

Essentialy it reduces the amount of work the computer has to do, si instead of processing multiple objects with their own submeshes and materials, thee is a single object rendered, so a scene with soft shadows and a bit of post processing for the building in the video goes from processing this:
SetPass Calls: 16 Draw Calls: 92 Total Batches: 19 Tris: 7.2k to processing this: SetPass Calls: 13 Draw Calls: 13 Total Batches: 13 Tris: 7.2k

it is very hard to see what you do and why the draw calls are different. although I remember using pro builder to combine various aspects of the unity stealth tutorial when I created an android version using playmaker and advanced battle AI playmaker edition. https://youtu.be/lLn5XUoBmJo
