Yes, it's my mistake, should be GetComponent<MeshInstanceRendererComponent>().Value

Ouch, I hit enter too early... So am I the only one to get this error? In my case, the MeshInstanceRenderer class implements the ISharedComponentData interface, but doesn't derive from MonoBehaviour or Component :O

Ellen FlahertyThanks for sharing this. How did you learn about ECS? Did you check out the Brackeys video @Joy Horvath shared? How will you use and why do you think it's the way to go.
ECS is a great solution, especially for performance issues. It's not really big thing for most people working on small games, but still, I think it's much better to take care of data than don't. Many people find it difficult, but I believe it just needs time to properly switch mindset to ECS architecture so it can be as easy as OOP programming. ECS implementation in Unity is still very limited in pure approach, but It's worth learning today so we can get easily into big changes in near future. I learned, actually still learning ECS by experimenting with API given in the official documentation. I think the most useful learning source are just examples. Some people can understand it better by reading, but the others prefer videos like Brackey's one. It's good to see both forms, videos and texts tutorials so everyone can learn in a way he prefers.
