Hello, everyone.
I published an article here (Connect) about my recent experiences on becoming an indie developer. This is my first attempt ever at writing, and I have the intention of making it a series covering the topic - this group seemed like an appropriate place to post it... ;-)

Please DO criticize, comment and let me know what you think of it. And thanks in advance for reading!

"Going Indie" pt. 1: The importance of "validation" - Unity Connect
"Going Indie" is a series of articles intended to be a sort of repository of the experiences and lessons learned in my (ongoing) journey to become a game developer, with a focus on the human - rather than the technical or business - side of the experience

Great read; well written and relatable. Thanks for being vulnerable so that others can learn from your experience.

Hello everyone!
I published my very first article (ever! not only here... so please bear with my potentially bad redaction skills...) in what I hope will become a series covering my experience as an Indie developer.

This first part deals with the issues I faced when I decided to "take the plunge" and become an Indie myself - especially regarding those hard questions we all should be asking even before making such a big decision.

Since I don't really know how to link directly to the article here, all I can point you is to the article name: "Going Indie pt. 1: The importance of validation". You might be able to find it easily if you just go to my profile and look for it there.

And if anyone has any idea on how can I share a link directly to it let me know!

I hope at least someone finds the content of the article useful. I'm available for questions and suggestions, and thanks in advance for reading!

I can't believe I didn't see your comment before... sorry about that! I have written an article (the first one of, hopefully, a series!) on "being indie" and starting up with Unity. As soon as it gets posted (it's under review, I believe) I'll make sure to link it here so everybody can have a look. And from now on I'll make sure to visit frequently!

Welcome @Vitor Enes!!! What would be your top three best tips for getting started with Unity for the beginners in the group? Or what was a great "Aha" moment for you in learning Unity?
Hello everyone! I am an indie developer, and my first experience developing with Unity was a sort of a catalog project for a furniture company (you can also sort of check it out in my Connect profile), and currently, in addition to work on my first game, I am also revamping and updating this app for my client. And I have an upcoming project that is (I think) very cool and is also NOT a game - can't talk about it yet, but as soon as I can, I will share here.

Let's share things!
