Ymbroglio Alpha” is a science-fiction side-scrolling 2D puzzle-platform game in which players can control both a human astronaut and a robot, sometimes interchangeably or simultaneously, for the purpose of progressing to the next level.
Ymbroglio is a 2D puzzle game that allows players to control both Captain L. and Yridia to get the next level with a series of puzzles. In the game, because the astronauts can just walk on the ground, only robots can enter other places. Therefore, by controlling the angle between the ray and the robot controlled by the player B, the player B can perform the robot in the ray range Move to unlock these levels. The difficulty of the game is also progressive, in the previous level, basically only need to grasp the control point of view can pass the level, in the next part, the level of weight loss will occur, more test two people’s cooperation.
A meteoroid smashes against a Space Station by damaging the main satellite and killing a group of astronauts deployed in the Sector 2 area. This happened when astronaut and robot first get into the space station, in this chapter, we will teach players how to control the astronaut and the robot and make sure player will not confused on how to control the character through this area. We set four section to let player know how to jump, how to move the case by robot, how to interact the button in order to control the elevator or the movable platform.
We have two Character states reader, when you control the character, the states icon would turn blue, that means you are moving the character, when you stop moving the character, the reader would turn to default colour.
Chapter 1(Living Area):
In this chapter, we introduce our gameplay based on the tutorial---
Players have to cooperate with each other and make sure the robot was fully activated, it become harder than tutorial section, the robot can no longer fly by itself, it have to by the astronaut through the Red Ray. But we still provide the robot the ability to move a little without Ray, we add the energy system which you can see them on the right side of the screen. When robot affected by the Ray, the battery will raise to top green, in these time ,robot could moving by itself, but when fuels out, the robot's states reader would turn red, it can not controlled by players only if affected by the rays again.
Due to the complex environment, we made some interesting reflect-wall to reflect the ray, that can allow the robot affected by the ray in any time.
