WotA is a unique mix of genres, picture Civilization and the board game Risk having an illegitimate battle royale child.
It's a strategy game at its core with 4X elements and you can play entire games from start to finish on your lunch break !
Expand your territory as large as possible, develop facilities all over your land and research technologies. Get an edge over your opponents and be the last player alive to survive the fall of the world.
WotA is fully procedural and built from a modular architecture fueled by flyweight pattern based ScriptableObjects.
It has its own unique AI system, built over a modular mediator pattern based data layer.
Multiplayer is inspired by UNET and the open source Mirror alternative, but detached from any in-scene objects requirements and based on assets instead, fully integrated with the game's modular architecture. It is also allocation free, and with stupidly high performance for that sort of game. Transport layer is modular as everything else but in WotA goes only through Steamworks.
Aside from the volumetric fog, ocean and a few other visual assets everything has been created from scratch.
