Within the Mystical Roots
Hello, I am Aquarius Max, and I am happy to join, and will gladly post some W.I.P. as it comes along (soon enough)! I have some nice original plans for this "Inside the Vault" Challenge, and we shall see how it goes with the time given.

Yggdrasil, the mystical connector of world, with a strong magic connecting these realms together. My plans are to show its mystical nature, and its lore behind that of this connection. Fantasy - Sci-Fi environment and interior rooms entangled through the roots, interweaving into one whole; "The Source."
General environment plans:
  • Ambient lighting, at times colorful, but with dark / damp places.
  • Stone / Metal Architecture
  • Caves
  • Fantasy
  • Sci-Fi
I'll will explain more as I make the content, and will keep you posted below with more screenshot teasers, as the content slowly starts to come together more. Cheers!
Edit: (Day 19) Package is close to completion! There is still more to add, and more touch-ups as needed, but the majority of the models and layout of the environment is mostly completed. Thanks for reading, and i hope that you've enjoyed this so far. There's still more to share of course, as the submission is still not ready just yet... stay tuned!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: (Day 26) After a bit of self-studying, and discussing with my community, its decided that a more cleaner approach should be had. To better fit with the general aesthetics which Unity is asking for in this competition, I've cleaned up the scene with more whiter and natural looking lights. Ive gone and edited some more prefabs to better fit with any lighting style.
  • The metal pillars themselves now have more of a detailed highlight to them, and a fair amount of shine as needed!
  • Overall lighting and emissive texturing has been toned down. While having a brighter / general well lit scene, the lamp posts themselves have been slightly toned down to better fit the scene, and not overwhelm our eyes with too many lights (still in the tweaking process for this).
  • I've gone and added more props as needed. There are energy cells / batteries that will be included, along with new metal crates and boxes. These add to the scenery nicely, and will be best placed at the entrance to this vault. The batteries themselves work nicely, as they hold their own energy for showing a form of similar "power" which could keep the lamp posts emitting light.
LORE is important, as not only is this going to be an asset pack, but its of course being made for this competition. This submission is our ideas of what we think is inside of the Yggdrasil Vault, hidden from within the Buried Memories.
With every piece that i create, and its placement, has meaning. As i create my general environment, im writing a story in my head while placing the prefabs and props. This is important, as it helps to create the scene with a natural feel, rather than just looking at a bunch of random objects in a scene wondering why they are there.
My scene consists of a natural energy source, made up of three "Life Orbs." These Life Orbs each power their own form of life, and keep the tree in tact, as well as the connection to the nine realms. Its a mystical nature in wondering how these orbs are self-sufficient and self-powered. But such is energy, and not all energy can be explained, but rather studied and acknowledged.

J. Hernandez I must say that your almost daily posts are impressive. ...Are you going for the extra mile?
Thanks, its not so much the extra mile, as i just enjoy creating art! I figured, what better way than to show the community the process of the month long submission from a day to day creation. As an asset store artist, the community plays a big role in the business, and I dont mind showing all of the small details in how i create my scenes. It does help to have multiple WIP screenshots not only for the community to see it in development, but also for myself to study and learn off of my own creations, and generate further ideas for what is needed!
