The current generation of VR hardware needs commercial applications
VR is an amazing technology. It delivers an experience and expressive power never before seen in human history. It is like teleportation.
But this comes, literally, at a price.
The cost of room scale VR , the gold standard, puts it into rarefied market territory. For that much money VR has to 1. Remain in a niche consumer marker 2. Penetrate the B2B marketspace where use cases can justify the spend 3. Do more functions - like smartphones do.
Until then, it will be hard for VR to gain sufficient user base.
So let's make it happen!
