VR is an amazing technology. It delivers an experience and expressive power never before seen in human history. It is like teleportation.
But this comes, literally, at a price.
The cost of room scale VR , the gold standard, puts it into rarefied market territory. For that much money VR has to
1. Remain in a niche consumer marker
2. Penetrate the B2B marketspace where use cases can justify the spend
3. Do more functions - like smartphones do.
Until then, it will be hard for VR to gain sufficient user base.
