Uses a custom dual-standard shader material with a blend-map that blends between two different materials for nice effects, along with a shader to composite textures onto the blend-map dynamically so that its placed appropriately on whatever mesh based on its uv's.
I guess the video shows it best, doesnt work the best as pictures. Gfycat works here but its not great.
