A cartoony kart racer with racing ducks. It was built from scratch on a custom C++ game engine using PhysX, OpenGL and SDL2.
I worked on this project in a four-person team over four intensive months. I was responsible for writing the base engine, rendering system, and the scripting system. All of the 3D models, and most of the textures were created by me. I was primarily focused on supporting my team with engine features, so please excuse the quick art!
The game features many special power-ups like missiles, mines and walls. The game also has a special trail mechanic; driving on trails left by other players speed the player up. The game also makes use of draw ordering and post-processing blur effects.
