During my master degree thesis i developed a videogame that can be used from stroke patients to increase their upper limb movement ability.
During this project i combine four inertial sensors that must be worn by the patient, with a 3D avatar, so patient's movements could be repeated in the game.
This practice allows to turn monotonous rehabilitation exercises in more exciting ones and during the training the brain receives different stimulation.
By doing this the effects of rehabilitation are better than the normal ones and can lead to better results.
Thinking to apply this game for telerehabilitation purpose, has been developed an algorithm that is able to recognize wrong movements during the execution of a workout.
All this project has been developed in collaboration with an equipe of physiotherapist of the ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII.
