Phytobuddies is an iPad game that teaches children about the environment and sustainability. Phytobuddies uses phytoplankton to explain environmental problems such as air and water polution, fertilizer runoff, and microplastic contamination. The app comes with supplemental lesson plans for use in an educational setting.
I had the honor of being a developer on the project for almost two and half years, from February 2016 until it's release this past June. The project was conceptualized and developed by one of my New Media professors, Gene Felice, as part of his larger Oceanic Scales initiative. All credit and rights for the project are his.
