This demo was for an old project that got molded and modified into something that's at this point, completely unrelated to the game in the video. It's a combat oriented dungeon explorer, with a similar vibe to Zelda. There are two attacks, a weak slash and a strong explosion. The explosions are designed to knock out stronger enemies and bust down weakened walls. While silent, the attacks still have a decent punch to them, and combat balances between requiring skill to complete, and being easy enough to gain such skills.
There's lots to improve to this formula, though. The enemy variety is minimal to say the least, and it used your character's walking direction to determine attack instead of a unique axis for more precision. Maybe one day I'll come back and polish this project up, but for now it's just here to look dated XD
