National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey
Interactive Content created with Unity and Cocuy Fluid Simulator. The "Shallows" room provides full-motion playback on a 10x3m wall merging seamlessly with interactive content on the floor with space for 30+ visitors. The floor content is driven by multiple IR sensors sending data over network at 60 Hz. The data is analysed every frame to detect individuals and groups of people moving around, ultimately driving sea animals around and away from visitors.
Sea Lion are five interactive wall-mounted monitors where visitors can direct the behaviour (animations) of sea lions via full body gestures recognised by Kinect cameras. The same goes for several other floor and wall installations which detect similar body motions or simply floor obstructions to drive animations and behaviour of sea animals and plants.
