Working with Post Processing

ANIMATIC BLOCK IN

I started playing around with a few concept shots and trying out timing with music to plan out the scene better. I've been working on a few mood board and came up with this quick first few seconds of animatic to keep this train on its tracks.
So in order to get a good plan for my animatic to tell a compelling story I found that I really need to build out the space. These are a few screenshots of the world blocked out with some basic shapes for scale and placement. The mountain is roughly a mile above the landscape and the seven figures are at the ends of the seven roads. No lighting modeling or texturing work has been included in this. I will attempt a rough video using some images and editing to get the right timing for the final piece.

City Planning

Here is some of my research and references on circular city layout

Beginning the New World

This is the beginning of our project, we are naming KAINOS for the Neon Challenge - Theme: A New World This is a collaborative effort between me and my friends Jon and Dillon. We spent the last few days hashing out our concept, working through the backstory and discussing the best approach to take. After a few rough whiteboard scribbles and a general idea of the direction we want to go I quickly produced this concept art to get us moving in the right direction. Next up is a rough storyboard and an animatic for shot planning and timing.
We would love to hear back on what you guys think and maybe even your thoughts on what you think is the purpose of this world and its inhabitants. More clues will unravel as we work through our design... And we are very excited to see all the work everyone is doing. Unity really has the best community!

Thanks for checking up, been breaking my back trying to complete this, but I may have been overly ambitious. Not going to make it in time. I will post up more of the shots soon, and I intend on completing the project either way.

Great points. Learning composition is a whole other art. And I ramping up production this weekend. I have a huge list piled up to finish modeling

August SönnergrenReally nice work so far. For some constructive feedback: the focus blend is too fast and sudden. Try it similarly but slower .. you also want to either have the eye at the bird a bit closer to the golden cut and not so far to the edge. I find the last shot very intiguing and beutiful, but I would rather have it in the middle, so that the whoel journey of the three cuts zooms in. That way you dotn feel so disoriented in the last cut
Thanks! Awesome feedback, very specific, very helpful. The last cut isn't the actual last cut of the shot. But yeah I agree with the focus

Good update :) You should slightly increase the development speed also :) I think we have around 1 week left. I would say maybe bring the last scene shot to front after the clouds shot. Maybe you can zoom in from the clouds to the buildings. Then one shot with bird with depth of field effect and then on the building.
