In this article we will be sharing some details on of the Unity Live Help platform works.

How it Works

1. Customers come to Unity Live Help to get live help on their Unity projects.

From small tasks to large projects, customers who need immediate help share information about their problems which we share with you.

2. We match you with relevant requests based on your expertise

Once you’ve been onboarded as an expert on the platform, you’ll be see all of the most relevant requests on your expert dashboard based on your role, price, tags, and expertise. You're free to take any request at any time that matches your skills. You can either take Instant Requests, which require help immediately, or take Scheduled Requests which are booked directly for a specific time.

3. Start collaborating in a virtual workspace

After matching with your customer you’ll both enter a virtual workspace where for five minutes you can discuss and assess their problem. If both you and your customer agree that you can help them solve their problem, your session will convert to a paid session and they will pay per minute based on the agreed price. All sessions will begin with a 5 minute risk-free grace period, customers will not be charged unless the session is over 5 minutes.
Your virtual workspace will have voice chat, text chat, screen sharing, and a visual code editor to ensure easy collaboration. Your customer will walk you through their problem and you will work together using these collaboration features to help solve their problem.

4. Leave a review for your customer and get feedback

You’ll have an opportunity to review the quality of the session as well as your customer. You’ll also be reviewed by your customer based on their overall experience during your session.

After your session you can review your session chat transcript, any files which were attached, and video recording of your session.

5. Book your next session

Your customer can choose to schedule another session in the future with you. Feel free to jump back into your expert portal where you can take additional open requests.

6. Get paid

After you begin as an expert on the platform, you will be paid out after 60 days your first paid session. Payments associated with each paid session will be made within sixty (60) days of the end of the corresponding calendar month. Your payout will amount to 70% of the total cost of your session with 30% going to Unity.
