Hi, here are the results of my project- I ran out of time, so this will be brief. Here is the best I could output (and I'm uploading this at 11:58pm on the last day).
I set out to build a giant continuous environment in Unity. I wanted a floating city with a full interior path. I spent a few weeks planning, and created a giant greybox area.
Using Unity, I went from greybox to final in four days, but didn't plan far enough in advance .
The intended path goes: Jungle > Outer Wall > Lava Pit > Corridor > Zen Garden > Casino > Sewer > Neon Zone > Back Wall > Train Station > Mall > City Street > Courtyard > Apartment > The Divide > Gardens > Chasm > Zenith
I got Lava Pit to Zenith working decently.
Workflow in Unity was import greybox, detail world in segments, create camera tracks, add animation events, record segments. This scene is a composite, but it is thematically, artistically, and literally all connected.
The Cinemachine camera dolly and dolly cart were invaluable for creating my flythrough path.
Aquas handled water, and Vegetation Studio really made some scenes feel great. I used a combination of Enviro and HX Volumetric Lighting to get my lighting look.
The Modular Space Station kit by Sector 3D was perfect for making anything feel more technical.
Horiz[On] by Becoming was great for putting my city into the air.
Realistic Nature Environment by Patryk Zatylny worked for almost all of my trees.
Sci-fi Design Kit by BR2 Artworks and Modular City Alley by Finward Studios were great sets to fill out the look I was going for.
On the technical side, Auto Texture Tiling was invaluable because I had an obscene amount of un-textured and not unwrapped surfaces to fill.
I chose Amplify Bloom and Amplify Color over the post effects stack because I was familiar with them.
Overall, creating this was a dream come true aside from technical and time issues. I would have never imagined being able to do this in just a few days.
