May the force be with you!

Introduction

Hey everyone, my name is Abhijeet Dash and I am a student pursuing B.tech in computer engineering. I started using unity in Nov 2017 and before that I was working in java. I love Art, and programming obviously.

Work in Progress

Well I always wanted to make my own BB8 droid but never got a chance so I did it in unity. My source of inspiration is Star wars and I don't know what else is in my mind, I am just having fun doing this.

Wip2 : Planning Beyond The Gates

While I was working I created a huge gate of suspense. And now I am going to create small islands having natural vegetation and small landscapes.

Wip3: Idea of Artificial Nature

Since I am new in this world of game dev I was not sure how would artificial Natural habitat will look while floating in space. So, here's what it looks like.
I also included cinemachine and settled it up to look and follow my player and added scripts to rotate horizontal and vertical axis according to camera. Also added fog and bloom.

Final Submission

Finally I ended up with the first level of my game by making an elevator to the next level.
Being a beginner, I don't want force my mind over something, so I planed to stop after creating a final lift which will take BB8 to the next level of the game.

Assets Used

  • Sci-Fi Door
  • Sci-Fi Barrels
  • CGY_ATM
  • Cinemachine
  • Post Processing Stack
  • Sci-Fi Tower
  • Sci-Fi Modular Packs

Hoglet gamesUnfortunately this has nothing with NEON Challenge.. For a first step to call live the BB8 in unity is a nice try, but you still need a lot of work to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wu42QssiYA
Thanx, I am still learning

Zachary FejesHey Abhijeet, I like where you're going with this! I'm a huge Star Wars fan so I'd love to see how this turns out. Just a thought for taking it up a level - you already have your BB8 looking in the direction he's moving. It wouldn't be too hard to have his head lean in that direction too - controlled by an animator. Plus, you could use a blend tree in the animator to smooth the head motion when he changes direction!
Thanx Zachary, I was also looking forward to do this. But since I am a pure beginner I need to research more on the animation to make this possible.
