The beginning of an experiment - more than a commercial project - "Citizen Guy" is a simulation/survival game aboard mega space stations around planets low orbits.
Citizen Guy" is a simulation/survival FPS game where the action takes place inside and outside mega space stations flying at low orbit altitudes around various planets.
You start as a new space station maintenance engineer going through a certifications program with various levels of difficulties and complexities. These will allow you to apply for jobs that regularly pop up on the Jobs Board.Nothing is free, you'll have to pay for the bills, for your zero-g "flat", your foods, your medical cares if injured, everything. If you fail to cover your expenses you will perhaps start to steal, sleep in hidden areas and become an outlaw. You may well die from starvation. In any case you will be tracked by the security department and if caught banished from the station. This will be the end of your career but not necessarily the end of the game..If you manage to cover your expanses then you are in good shape to progress through the space station society by attending various certifications program you may choose, but those are not free. You have been hired by a space station maintenance company meaning they paid for your travel ticket. The first thing you must do is to pay them back and you won't be free until you do so. Then you will be able to either continue your current activities or choose other paths. You may join the spaceships maintenance crew, join the security department, any activity for which there is a certifications program you would successfully pass. You may even leave for another space station or even for another planet's space station. The choice is yours. Just don't forget to eat, sleep and pay.
There is no "magic" artificial gravity in "Citizen Guy", except gravity induced by centrifugal forces like in certain parts of the stations looking like big rotating donuts or even cylinders for the biggest stations, but those areas are often reserved to VIP, medical and other privileged groups, albeit there is the main HUB for travelers. Most of the time, as a simple worker, you will evolve in zero gravity, be it inside or outside the stations, be it in pressurized, toxic or vacuum environments. Even when having access to high technology levels space is still an unfriendly and dangerous environment. A lot of things can happen to a space station and its inhabitants. Micro meteors and debris impacts, spaceships collisions, various systems failures, human errors or even intentional malicious acts. At any time something wrong may happen, urgent jobs are parts of the jobs you can apply to in case of emergencies but at your own risks, of course. Well paid though, if accomplished successfully.
Yet, other kinds of events may happen. You might have to solve mysteries, crimes, run after escaped alien creatures.. there is no limit. This is the experimental aspect of this project: Events (and Plots) injection into a simulated environment.
