A 3D Sidescroller/Platforming game with RPG and Adventure elements (inspired heavily by the Ganbare Goemon series)
Beryl (not actual title) is a 3D game idea I've had in mind for a while now. (originally started as a 2D title)
1-2 Players, Co-op, Local and Online, 5-10 hour playthrough
Based mainly on Goemon's Great Adventure (N64) gameplay where areas to progress the game are sidescrolling platformers while rest areas are free-roam towns to get items, meet npcs, and take on sidequests.
My goal is to build a world with charming, quirky characters, unique designs, a pleasing aesthetic and a light dash of secrets and easter eggs to top it off, something that would fit right into a nintendo world. Solid, responsive controls that reward players who spend the time or bring the skill to learn the game. Something you and a friend/sibling enjoy playing together and come back to every so often.
I'm not much in the way of programming, the art and concepting are where I shine, I'm currently seeking a programmer to share in future revenue and profit with and perhaps to make a lifelong dev partner/friend.
