Arena Shooter Proof Of Concept
A twin axis shooter with influence from old arcade games, such as Smash TV and Robotron. Reminiscent of Geometry Wars
The aim of the game is to try and get as many points as you can, using an XBOX 360 Joypad or a regular keyboard. My highest score is 142486, try to beat it please :) My initial goal going into this project was to experiment with visuals and enemy behaviour, to see if the project I am really interested in doing is viable, and to practice the skills required for that project. Arena Shooter is a proof of concept I have been creating. It is at the stage where I have learnt enough techniques from it, and it looks and plays very well that I am ready to embark on a more technically advanced version, with more features and more interesting interactions between player and enemy.
