A laid-back multiplayer third-person exploration-focused space shooter with extensive gravity mechanics
Aetheria is a very old idea, first prototyped in 2009. Basically it was to use the vertical dimension to visualize the gravitational potential of an infinite 2D plane, and build a 3D Newtonian shooter using the gravity visualization as the game level.
It was too much for me at the time, but as my skills improved, I always came back to this project as a proving ground: to see how far I've come. This is its fifth and final incarnation.
A playable multiplayer prototype was briefly available early summer 2017 before I shelved the project to focus on Rust to Dust.
