Highly recommended. I backed this on KickStarter and would do it again for a third game. Great voice work, characters, game premise and humor. I waited for the patches before starting so did not experience any glitches.. I'm a fan of British humor and accent, so if you're like me you won't miss this game. I played the both parts and liked the 1st episode better, as the puzzles seemed a bit more difficult. The characters are so humorous. There are many funny references to famous books, persons, etc.. Just loved the game. Wonderful humor and amazing story :). Despite the lack os some animations (probably due to budget), I did have fun with this game and enjoyed it. I do recommend it for those that like point and click adventure games. I love it, but I have experienced a whole lot and continuous bunch of bugs. For now my experience is a lot of “quit” and “continue” - because I cannot get the characters to do anything – and at some point the main character simply disappeared from the screen. Bugs:First I talked to every customer, but didn’t get my punch card. And I restarted. Twice. Then again I talked to every customer on the list and did not get my achievement (sigh..)My worst experience of bugs was in the Mechanical Toys shop, I had to restart more than five times, because I could not do anything. The cursor was moving, but there were nothing to click on/ choose. I a sense: “ There is nothing to do here”. But there is.At the train station Bertram Fiddle suddenly disappeared from the screen and without him, I could not do anything. For now I have given up. But I am waiting for the bugs to be fixed, because I want to give it really positive review. It could be an amazing game, I know because the first one was, but – sigh…It is going to be an excellent game once it is finished.. The achievements seem to be broken which is super sad. But the game itself is fun. If you are into puzzles and puns, Bertram is quite a nice adventure. Really love the hilarious voice acting.. Even after the updates, this game lags, freezes, and has bugs that make it impossible to complete. I couldn't get a refund because I hit a game-ending bug after 8 hours of playtime. Not worth it.. This is one of those games where I wish Steam had a "shrug" button for if you recommend it or not. It has all the charm of the Adventure of Bertram Fiddle: Episode 1, but the puzzles were more frustrating (and not in a good way). As a side note, when the game first came out a lot of people were complaining about how many glitches there were in it. It seems like they fixed those issues. I didn't run across any in my play through.. This is what you'd call a VERY qualified reccomendation. All the best parts of the first game (humor, characters, puzzles that are usually more clever than obnoxious) are back, but unfortunately they've brought a host of bugs with them. I haven't encountered any of the major game breaking ones that others have mentioned, but the achievements are borked and the audio is wonky in places. That said, the developer has recently returned after a long hiatus and I still did enjoy it so a tentative thumbs up with the hopes of future polish (and a sequel!).. This is a light-hearted, funny, and well-designed game. It's four times as long as the first game (well, at least it took me four times as long to finish it) and so the plot is more in depth. It's certainly worth the price. Some other comments have mentioned a lot of bugs, and while I think many of the early bugs had been patched by the time I played, I can say I did still encounter a few, but nothing game breaking. As long as you're not the type to fly into a fit of rage over the occasional graphical glitch or so forth, you should be fine.
