We decided to create a scene that was different in style - not hyper realistic - but hitting different artistic notes to make it believable.
The scene is set in a future in which humans are no longer at the top of the food chain. Robots have surpassed their masters in everything and the human race is a marginalized minority and are no longer relevant. Up until now, robots have managed to be better at everything except one thing - art. The machines have been trying to capture the remaining humans and keep them hostage in a bid to extract their essence and coupled with the machine they’ve built showcase their own artistic interpretations.
As a two man team, we had to make stuff and iterate them quickly. Timeline and Cinemachine really helped us because of this, be able to control almost hundreds of different GameObjects in the same "clip" was key for this project.
