"Water is the driving force of all nature." Leonardo Da Vinci

"Where is it ? What have you done with it ? No...no...It can't be gone...It cannot be...''

Triton is the name of the small community inhabiting the water reserve of the same name. The world's drinking water has mysteriously disappeared and that's what happened to civilization as well...In this grey dehydrated world, the Protagonist is looking for two things : answers and something to drink. But everything comes at a cost...

Introduction

My name is Lefteris. I am 18 years old (quite recently) and I am a high school student from Greece. I have been using Unity for about 3 years but this is my first published project. My imagination is that of a lunatic, I have an unusual interest for mathematics and I love video-games (both developing and playing them).

Concept & Inspiration

The main sources of inspiration where Pipeway Passage by Georgi Simeonov and the film "Ghost in the Shell" (2017 (especially the scene in the concrete cemetery).
(I am not sure how copyrights work, but I hope I am allowed to include these photos above.)

Learning

Okay, best (not really) tactic ever for beginners : watch hundreds (literally) of tutorials from both Unity Learn website and YouTube.

Assembling (placing the assets from the Store)

(ONLY A FEW ASSETS BEING PLACED ARE IMAGED BELOW BECAUSE THAT WOULD TAKE TOO MANY PHOTOS)

Navigation

Cinemachine + Timeline = Infinite possibilities

Based on some knowledge from pretty much every film I have ever seen and some YouTube on tutorials on directing and editing, I tried to play with the cameras and the order of events (with Cinemachine and TImeline). The result was pretty good in my humble opinion.
(Don't tell anyone but I might be making short films aside from video games in the near future)

Post-Processing

The final choice was a cold, blueish and slightly depressing pallete.

Epilogue

Working on this project was definitely one of the most fun and difficult things I have ever done. I had to stop doing some of my school homework in order to work most of the day (believe me or not I worked an average of 8 hours with 4 hours of sleep every day on the week before the challenge's deadline). The result might not be professional (since I am not a professional) but it's something. Nevertheless...

I gained so much experience from this effort and had so much fun in the process, so you will be hearing from me soon. This is just the beginning...
