Hover: Revolt of Gamers is a fast-paced single and multiplayer Parkour game in a futuristic 3D Open World. For this game i did optimizations, technical direction, day/night cycle system and shaders (scattering, skybox, volumetric, fake bounces and ibl blending), network architecture and console ports (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch)
For the optimization i did a system that eased batching and instancing through transferring all materials into a home made material system using texture arrays allowing every objects of the scene to be combinable since they were sharing afterward all the same shaders (i encoded material IDs into vertex color and sorting through a geometry shader) The network structure is a seamless system where you can switch from offline to online at any moment and you are dynamically matchmaked by grid to ensure that there is always people around you (with dynamic rules to not loss people around you)
