Create with Code: Game Jam has officially started!

The theme is SECRETS.

Before you begin, here are some things to keep in mind:

- Read through the submission rules to ensure understanding of requirements for submitting a game: https://connect.unity.com/challenges/createwithcodejam
- Make sure you give yourself enough time to upload your game. Start uploading at least 1 hour before submissions close, at the latest!
- Keep your scope of the game SMALL. You only have the weekend to create a game, so make sure you have enough time to complete it.
- Use #mentor-request Discord channel as a last resort. This Game Jam is supposed to be a learning experience to test your skills at troubleshooting issues that arise. If you get stuck and struggle to move forward, then open a Help Ticket for support.
- We unfortunately can’t support 24/7, so if you submit a Help Ticket and you don’t get a response immediately, it’s because we’re either helping other Jammers or it’s during a time where we’re light on support (super late at night / early morning).
- Have fun and learn all that you can from this experience!

Hi, guys!
Hope this message finds you well. First, let me introduce myself.
I am a beginner in Unity, but I have a huge desire to learn more. In addition, my main language of programming is the old, but gold C++.Furthermore, I have knowledge in HTML and CSS. Returning to Unity, I have already made 2 basic games, but I feel the need of having a team. Also, I do have some game ideas and I can't wait to finish them, but I consider that in a team all of us come up with creative ideas, so we can develop a wonderful game.
Almost no one at my age programmes in Unity(please correct me if I'm wrong and I hope I am, otherwise I will still be an indie), so I have to find some crewmates :)). If you are interested, please DM me and give me in a short text a description of yourself including aspects related to your coding experience, general information about you, hobbies and anything you feel fine to share. (pay attention! please don't send me personal information about you.. such as your first name, age, country is enough)
If you were wondering I'm a high school girl :)) and I am not a native speaker of English.
p.s. for the ones that want to collaborate with me: I am going to create a new team on Microsoft Teams and in the first meeting we are going to get to know better and to call into question some management aspects. Then, anything we will do next will be chosen by mutual agreement.

I realize the game jam is over now, but I still wanted to participate in the Discord channel, and I can't figure out how to do so. I can see the channel; I can read the "welcome-and-rules" post; but I can't for the life of me figure out how to react with a robot emoji (or any emoji), which apparently is required to continue. (Yes, I do have emojis enabled in my settings.) What do I do?

Even though I wasn't able to get into the Discord channel, I did participate in the jam... though just barely; I ended up working most of the weekend and only had about half a day to actually work on my game. Bah. I still managed to get out a proof of concept, even if it was much less than what I'd hoped to make: https://play.unity.com/mg/other/house-of-secrets

Any chance there'll be another jam like this soon (possibly on a weekend I don't have to work)?

Hi March - apologies for the late reply. The Discord server was unfortunately closed after the event. We are planning to do more game jams in the future, so stay tuned! :)
