Hi, I and my team are working on ideas for the competition and we're at a moot point on our interpretation of the rules. Do the projects need to be in a full 3D environment or is it possible to make the game using in 2.5D or even 2D environment provided we still use all 3D assets. Or is the inverse allowed with a 2.5D or 3D game environment using sprites and some 2D assets?

hey everyone, i am Mo'tasem Zakarneh From jordan, a final semester physics student.

and basically, i have set my intention to enter this challenge hopefully i'll be able to complete a submission before time is up (i am quite a slow guy).

and i'd love to share the progress of my first week. a word about my game:
An Adventure Of Relativity: you cheat the world through using modern concepts of physics, the goal is to teach Modern Physics Concepts, such as special relativity, and particle/wave duality.

for the first week, i focused on getting few things done:
mainly, core scenes loop (start scene, end scene, and game scene).
Characters Movement
and visual effects to simulate the getting closer to speed of light effect.

for more details, or trying out the Week 1 iteration, you can visit the link below.

Hello, I have a question for the rule
The Project cannot have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind or exhibited or displayed publicly through any means.
When referring to displaying publicly through any means do you mean previously or at share any progress of my game in the duration of the competition?

great question, something very similar also occurred to me, basically, if i am sharing my progress, on the game that i am making for this challenge, does that break the rule? as i went in with the mindset that i'd be sharing my updates weekly about the game i am making

Hey LiShu - do you mean how do you add your university to your Connect profile?

"submissions must be made by students currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution". Are PhD Students/Candidate and also external PhD Students/Candidate eligible to participate in this contest? Thanks in advance for your replay.

As long as you are enrolled in a university, it's totally okay!
