107 Challengers

You've learned how to Create with Code. Now use what you know to jam out a game!

In this jam, you’ll build a game with a team (or fly solo!) that can serve as a portfolio piece that you can showcase to potential employers.
We’ll start jamming on Friday, October 23 at 9am PT (16:00 UTC) and support you throughout the weekend with tips, tricks, and feedback as you develop your game. Final submissions are due Sunday, October 25 at 5pm PT (23:59 UTC). Be sure to register now!
We’ll announce winners in a number of categories a week later, when the instructors will play the winning games live!

How to Create an Entry

To create an entry, you must create a playable WebGL build of your game.
An entry (“Entry”) must include the following:
  • Project Title
  • Project Description no more than 800 characters in length; must include names of each team member
  • WebGL URL

How will Winners be Selected and Notified?
Entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Unity in its sole discretion. Judges’ decisions will be final and binding in all respects.
Judges will award each Entry a number of points based upon the following 5-point scale for each category:
  • Art = 1-5 points
  • Game Design = 1-5 points
  • Controls = 1-5 points
  • Audio = 1-5points
  • Fun = 1-5 points
Subject to confirmation of eligibility, the following three (3) Winners will be selected pursuant to the following
  • The Entry with the highest sum of points of every category combined, will be recognized as the Winner for the Best Overall Game category;
  • The Entry with the highest sum of points of the Art category, will be recognized as the Winner for the Best Aesthetic Design category; and
  • The Entry with the highest sum of points of the Fun category, will be recognized as the Winner for the Most Fun Game category.
In the unlikely event of a tie, the Entry who received the highest sum of points of every category combined will be deemed the applicable winner. If the score therein is tied, the winning Entry will be determined by the judges in their sole discretion.
Potential winners will be contacted within 30 days of the completion of judging via the email associated with their registration form. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond as directed, refuses the prize, or is found to be ineligible for any reason, such prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Only one alternate winner will be selected per each prize package, after which prizes will remain unawarded.
To the extent that there is any dispute as to the identity of the potential winner, the official account holder of the email address associated with the Unity Connect account through which the Entry was first submitted will be deemed the official potential winner by Unity.

The Winners will be recognized and announced by UNITY as the Winners of this Challenge. Projects submitted by the Winners will be demonstrated in the Play-a-Thon Session following the completion of the Challenge. UNITY will not provide prize(s) of monetary value or any other compensation to the Winners.
All prizes are non-transferable, and no substitutions of the prizes for cash, alternate goods or services, or any other prize is permitted.
